The West Wing is the main dining room at the Campus Club. It has beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides with fabulous views of the downtown Minneapolis skyline and the Mississippi River. This lovely and spacious room is a great spot for University events, corporate events, and special celebrations like weddings.
The West Wing can seat up to 230 people and can accommodate 250 guests for receptions. It can also be sectioned off with room dividers for smaller groups. It has a formal podium, a PA system, and an LCD and screen. Room darkening shades on the front west windows permit presentations even during daylight hours. A dance floor can be brought into the room. As with all of campus, wireless Internet access is available.
The West Wing works beautifully for special events: both personal milestone events like weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvah parties, birthdays, anniversaries, and memorial services as well as university and business gatherings.
University departments often use the West Wing for large working meetings, recognition events, annual banquets, retirement parties, VIP receptions, networking events, and more. Corporate groups, associations, and foundations use the West Wing for holiday and other special celebrations. It’s also a great room for fundraising and networking events.
The West Wing is the primary seating area for Campus Club members at lunchtime on weekdays. It’s a busy and bustling place at lunch time, and truly exemplifies the Campus Club mission of providing a place “where the University community meets.” Although table reservations are not required, some departments and members choose to do that. Menu service is available in the West Wing with 24-hour notice. To reserve a table call the front desk at 612-626-7788.
Many University departments choose the Campus Club when they are recruiting new faculty. It is a great place to show off the University and make a positive impression on recruits. It’s also a convenient spot to connect with alumni and donors. Corporations who do business on campus use the West Wing at lunch time to entertain existing and potential campus clients. The West Wing is a quiet and convenient option for business lunches on or near campus.
